Region 19 Zane Trace (6-4) at Fairland (9-1)

Fairland will be a big favorite, but Zane Trace is capable.
Thoughts?

If Wall is in good health I see Fairland by 2-3 scores. If he is limited and Zane Trace can muck it up I can see them hanging around for 4 quarters. Regardless of it all I like Fairland

Wall played last night and was definitely rusty. Needs to get a bunch of reps and throws in this week in practice.

Both of these teams are good in the trenches but Fairland simply has more skilled players that ZT will have to deal with. Fairland should take this one and depending on how quickly Wall can get things smoothed out will decide by how much. I seen in another thread that someone mention Portsmouth gave the blueprint but I don't think ZT is on the same level as Portsmouth in regards to ground and pound. Fairland by 20

Well, Zane Trace will pound it all night long and they play physical football most of the time. They do some stupid things like bad snaps, dropped passes, etc which obviously hurts them sometimes. Zane Trace will have a chance against Fairland if they play hard and execute. IMO

Fairland in this just a quick team but they have to play smart or they will go home early.

With zero passing game I think ZT is in trouble against good teams

Zt will get a running clock put on them and end the season at a disappointing 6-5.

I think Zane Trace can compete in this game. I don't see a running clock at all. I have watched Fairland numerous times on the internet and they do have athletes all over the place, but I still think ZT can hang around. If you hang around, you have a chance to pull it off. I compare Fairland to Unioto. Maybe just a shade better. It was the best draw that the Pioneers could get being a #15 seed. They would have no chance against the other top teams in the region, but most teams would not.

This game could be a very close game Friday night.
Zane Trace will come out in a lot of double TE sets running the Ace set getting 2 going downhill and running iso and power getting to level 2. They can get the ball to the edges and make plays they have some solid guys on the edges 11 is capable of throwing and hurting you with his legs 6-13 are both above average athletes playing wide out. They are physical and can control the LOS running the ball and mixing in some passing game. ZT is capable offensively
Defensively ZT can make plays around the LOS they have some capable corners I think they are solid with 13-2-6 playing in the secondary. I really like the linebacker 15 he is always around the football.
ZT will come out and give you all they have.

Fairland can’t come out slow and they can’t allow ZT to feel like they can win this game. Wall being back at QB obviously you hope he forgets last week and builds off the previous games where he was throwing the ball well and hitting guys in stride. Fairland has to be able to get Hayden involved he has been playing at such a high level and has been helping carry this offense. I think for Fairland it would be nice to see them get Smith back involved on the offense: using the running game they have guys and can roll through Kitts/Bumpus/Murray/Hayden /Cremeans being able to keep the offense balanced is key for the playoffs for them.

Defensively they have to stop the run. When they have struggled it has been when teams are able to line it up and run the ball with running backs who have power and speed. These dudes have to control the LOS. They can’t allow ZT to get 4 yards or more a carry. That will be the match up. I do think Fairland can cover the Zane Trace guys on the edge and not give up big plays.

Fairland has to take advantage of the 2 seed this year and run with home field advantage huge game at the concrete palace Friday both teams have a ton to play for

Watching them playing against Unioto on YouTube that definitely looked like an ace set with 2 WR-5 OL- 2 TE and then the QB and RB out of shotgun

Zt isn’t a double tight team they ran it against us because piketon had some success vs us using it but zt didn’t do it a lot

Last I seen, Fairland's stadium was called JIM MAYO STADIUM....The man built that stadium with his blood and sweat and it's disrespectful to him for you all to call it the concrete palace or anything else!!!!! Have respect for the man!!!
